The inspiration for this particular project, is the off-shavings of a pencil. I choose this because of the unpredictable shapes and the possibility of messing around with various colors and thereby being able to let my imagination run free.

 

I added some faceted beads of glass, to add a more posh and exclusive touch and contradict the ruggedness of the pencil shavings. Another reason for choosing beads, is that I really like the idea of a design being able to make a change in character, depending on which beads are being used. Had I used matted multicolored beads of plast, the look of the jewelry would have altered completely.

 

The final piece is made of turquoise, blue and yellow faceted beads of glass and a and a silverplated lock.
